Why is needed a dedicated server?
Hosting providers are offering dedicated server. Why is needed a dedicated server? It costs more, but is there any benefit to rent a dedicated server? How does this help in protection against DDoS attacks?

Dedicated server means stable hosting. Contrary to the virtual one, it is possible when someone on your cluster do some kind of abuse, like it or not your part will be affected. Whether it will slow down your website, or will entirely shut down your website. Dedicated server, means the server is all on yours, you can do whatever you like with it, you can abused it to death "literally"
