Just came in to my mind. We are using OPPs like bank accounts. So just thinking that if the PPs start to offer interests on deposited funds.
What do you think? |

Interest? when will they get that, where will they invest to pay that interest? there's too much problems they encounter everyday, so it can be another problem. lol. Besides, they're payment processors and not banks.

Bank can offers interest to members as they have right to use the members money to do investment in many field and then pay back some very little interest to member account. But for payment processor, it is for us to use it for paying online which treat it as medium of money, it is not real money, so payment processor company couldn't use this moeny for investement, hence unlikely to give interest.

it would impossible . we can celebrate our lucky if all the payment processors won't charge any fees with our incoming money.
and even when paypal blocked someone's account for half a year and they do not show any news whether they have used this money for some invest and share some interests to us. |

If payment processor is giving interest to promote members, then i worry that it will not like a payment processor anymore, it is look same like hyips site for member invested on it and get interest profit. We will see many payment processor just setup and close like hyip then.

Well it is just an idea. There is no need for them to pay any interest. But it is not bad if they offer some % if members put their money on their account for long. This may attract more members to use their service.
And about the interests there are many banks which gives interest on deposits on monthly basis. So actually if the PPs utilize the money (a portion) on putting banks then they can get some more and also share with members with that. They won't have to pay anything from their pocket. ![]() |

na never they wont least as we keep this money and if it gives interest then it means like hyip right what is the different in investing in hyip and getting scammed and keeping money in processor and getting scammed no difference if such condition rise up.and the admin of the processor wont get any benefit out of it so i guess there isnt any need

This is a great idea if payment processor really paying us interest. I don't expect them to pay much like in hyips, may be they just pay 2-3% yearly, i also happy already. As this is low interest like bank and we can just save our money there instead of saving in our local bank. But in this way, they may have authorised to use our money in order to get profit for the interest. |

i think if paypal gives interest, that will be somewhat reliable. if some other random payment processor wants to give interest i guess it can be quite risky.
