actually yes. its a bit of both. you wont want a short term HYIP to fall so soon and you do wish that the long term HYIP yields stable income for the next many many months.

its abit of a contradiction isnt it? guess you'll have to see your own investment strategy.

I use long termers to fund my smaller short term investments. I am getting to a stage where I will not be putting any more of my money into E-Gold, only taking it out. I don't play the ponzis with too much, always under $100, but long terms, I am happy to let get big. That way I have a stream of income that I can use to have a bit of a play with, but if all the ponzis crash, I still, hopefully have my steady payers quitly churning over the funds.

I like to let my money sit for months and let it compound interest.

The other thing I notice is that very few programs pay directly to e-gold anymore, so that makes for added risk.

I'm getting a bit leery so to say over the long term investments too. I recon many invest quite alot in FF to get a "stable" income, which is also recommended by alot of investors here. What would happen if FF would fold in 3 months or so? Many of you would loose 90% of your total invested capital in a day. Sooner or later they will fold. For instance anyone investing directly with FXIG will be the richest man on earth within 10 years (he'd have 1.9*10^13$), and someone investing through FF 5000$ to FXIG would have 110 billion $ after that same ten years. Besides that, it takes alot longer to get the principal back so the chances of them folding before that is IMO "pretty much" the same chance as a normal 1% a day hyip. It's just another time perspective. Another big prb is how to know when to get out from a long term investment? The prb is that most of us don't. We pretty much stick with them til they fold. But hey, so be it?

Diversify even with long term investments!!

Once I am in profit with a long-term, I don't care too much if it folds. I just keep spreading the money around to other programs.
