Cool +++ Please Read Before You Post Again!! +++

This is going to be quite long but in your own interests, set aside some time and have a read. Get yourself a brew and that last turkey leg or a couple of mince pies and read on.

Many people view the New Year as the start of a new beginning and I share that view. So I thought that this was as good a time as any to bring a few points to the attention of forum members.

This is a forum where members can exchange information about HYIP’s, autosurfers etc. and not a free for all advertising medium.

Many newcomers to this forum seem to think that this forum is here for them to try and gain referrals to the programme that they are with. With this thought in mind their posts in General or I Have Been Paid By … or Autosurfers or anywhere else, often become an advert for the site. Some will include a referral URL and some just the URL of the site but all will include the details of the site and quite often comments like “you should join this site” or “use my signature to join” or some other thinly disguised hint that the reader should join under them.

There is the Advertising folder for that purpose. Please use it and nowhere else.

What’s that? No one takes a great deal of notice of the Advertising content? Hardly surprising really, because the person posting is usually a newcomer and we haven’t a clue who they are. Also because of the many daily posts in Advertising your post gets pushed down to the bottom and off the page very quickly. It’s called life!

OK! I know! We would all like a downline to be envied so that we can get a decent reward for our labours but pseudo advertising will not get you there. Why would anyone join a programme being pushed by a member with just a handful of posts to his/her name?

To get other forum members into your downline you need to build a good reputation for yourself on the forum first. But that takes time and you are in a hurry to make a fortune.

The more experienced and reliable forum members will not push a programme. Instead they rely on their reputation and their post signature to invite someone to join under them.

I’m not going to name names but there are a number of forum members whose opinion is trustworthy and they tell it like it is, good or bad. They have built a good reputation on this forum and are more likely to get a referral without even trying than a blatant advert from a relative newcomer. So who are these trustworthy and reliable members? You dear reader will have to decide that for yourself by reading posts.

Recently there has been a spate of posts being dumped anywhere, usually in General because as one member tried to explain to me, that he thought that a post in General would be more likely to be read. That is nonsense, as a member will go to the folder that he is interested in. For instance if someone is trying to find out if xxxx has been paying s/he will go to the I Have Been Paid By … folder.

It isn’t always easy to decide where to place a post but in general that is because the post contains two or more subjects. Like talking about 12 daily and then drifting off into E-Gold paying problems. Please try to keep your post onto just one subject, although a brief reference to something else is OK.

Please help us to help you by following the forum rules at http://goldentalk.com/t7526.html. There aren’t all that many and are mainly common sense for the good of all.

Here’s looking forward to a happy and prosperous 2006.

Default Yes, it is

Yes, it is a good post 19171556, and it is good to see that you took the time to read it. Not many people do!

It also stresses the relative importance of being a contributing member of the GoldenTalk forum. We are here to try and help each other make the best sense of Hyip opportunities, for the greater good of all. In general, the more you contribute to the forum, the more you are likely to get out of it.

Apart from Moderating it to ensure that the poster abides by the forum rules, I pay very little attention to anything in the Advertising folder. I hope the same applies to most of our forum members, because the real gems of information, necessary to succeed in hyips, will probably be in General GoldenTalk Discussion rather than in Advertising, where most posters are looking for referral commissions.

Again, it is very encouraging to see that at least one member has taken the time to read the words of the sage. (And onion ? With the turkey leg?) I have no doubt that with a little Due diligence of your own you will succeed in this hyip wilderness.
Good Luck!
Peter

EDAdmin: there is a rule amongst those you thought to be the best you ever saw, which relates to usernames. Yours is amongst those not permitted.

You can re-register under a different name but it may NOT be directly related to your website/program in any way.

I have read the post and promise to behave myself in a mature adult fashion any time I decide to post. The rules are basic and easy to understand.

Hello 2Hallowikit,
Those members who do misbehave we make them kneel on dried peas in a corner wearing a dunce’s cap.

Whether you are new to the HYIP world or have a wealth of experience behind you, a very warm welcome to you from admin, moderators and our happy band of forum members. We are here to help each other.

You might like to refresh your memory of the forum rules at http://goldentalk.com/t7526.html and you can post your comments about them at http://goldentalk.com/t25587.html

If you are an out and out newbie to computers and the Internet these could be useful to you.
http://goldentalk.com/t20852.html
http://goldentalk.com/t20851.html

If you have some time to spare maybe you would consider having a read of the following threads.
http://goldentalk.com/t563.html
http://goldentalk.com/t2510.html
http://goldentalk.com/t2270.html
http://goldentalk.com/t2413.html
http://goldentalk.com/t2504.html

You should find them useful.

Finally a couple of tips on DD.
Go to http://www.goldpoll.com/ or .net or .org. As far as the IE browser is concerned go to the menu Edit and select ‘Find (on This Page) and in the Find what: field type in the name of the programme that you are researching. Just the name will do and not the URL. If GoldPoll is monitoring the site you will be taken to it quickly. Other browser may do things differently so you may have to search for the ‘Find’ facility.

Back in the forum do a search for the programme. Once again just its name should be enough. If there is a thread or threads for that programme you will be shown a list of them.

Good Luck!

Jim
