Unhappy serious problems with e-gold.com

Hello everyone,
I don't know how this is happening but a fraude has been commited 3 times into my egold account despite all the security measures that I am taking (regular change of passphrase, up to date and active antivirus, anti-spyware and firewall. Plus I use my home PC alone. How can this be possible? I personnally wonder if it doesn't come from e-gold staff because I never got such problems with my UK bank accounts. Thanks for giving your advice.

Have you also taken advantage of e-gold's other security measures, like its ability to query even a change of browser or IP address? I've got both of these set, and although it's a pain to be sent a PIN-robot e-mail every time this happens, it seems to be keeping me out of trouble along with all the other precautions you mention.

Posting the same topic in three different folders will not endear you to the forum members grehoua not to mention that it is in breach of forum rules.

There are two sticky threads in this folder that you should read and this one http://goldentalk.com/t20852.html

No matter if you follow all the e-gold security recommendation's and follow it. It won't make a difference if your computer is already compromised. Just by surfing and emailing specially if you click phising email links you will loose all your money.

But i have a question? Is it true that if you are a mac user you don't have any of these problems.. Because alot of people have been saying that they don't get infected or is it they don't have viruses trojan's for mac?

TRUE OR FALSE

Cool

It’s not a case of not having virus problems on the Mac. The Mac does have nasties but nowhere near as many as the Windows PC.

I don’t know what the exact figures are but for every 1,000 PC’s in use worldwide there is just 1 Mac. So the nasty writers target the PC as they have a better chance of fooling someone than on a Mac.

If the Mac were as popular as the Windows PC you can bet your sweet life the Mac would be targeted.

Oh ok i thought or should i say mac users (not all) make it seem like that there arent any mac viruses/trojans. But on the other hand you are much much safer if your using a mac than a Win PC.

Thanks jambutty for the info. I might just get a mac. Questions? If your not already on a mac, would you consider buying one. Because im thinking in the end you will save money. Because of buying all the antivirus programs anti spyware etc... And all the hacking of your money. And dont forget the frustration of wondering if your infected or not.
