E-Bullion TRANSACTION FEE
The twenty-five cent (USD$0.25) transfer fee has been eliminated. There is NO FEE for transferring funds from account-to-account within the e-Bullion® system. I’ve just been having another look at E-Bullion and my transactions in E-Gold. So far this month I’ve had 130 incoming E-Gold transactions which had they been done in E-Bullion would have cost me at 25 cents a time $32.50. But they have dumped individual transaction fees in favour of the approximately $5 per month fee. At an average of 13 cents per transaction I paid $16.90 to E-Gold as fees. It’s surprising how those few cents fees add up in a month. So if you do 38 transactions or more in a month in E-Gold it will pay to have them done in E-Bullion. That puts a different light on the issue and I guess E-Bullion at http://www.e-bullion.com/ here I come. I think! |

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the recent info via PM regarding my specific egold issue. In the case of Ebullion----it seems to me that the cryptocard is essential, albeit a bit pricey, at least in terms of internal security. Of course, the 'alphabet' agencies of the US government present another matter entirely. As an entity of Goldfinger, Inc., a California corporation, it would be an easy matter for the Feds to intervene into Ebullion's day to day operations. Just as soon as a few more complaints are registered, justifying an assault on the ecurrency side of Goldfinger's business. I think we are safe for the moment, however. The Egold dismemberment is still in the early stages----and the Feds will likely complete this course to develop a plan from which to launch against other financial services organizations operating on the periphery (or possibly outside) of current jurisdictional boundaries. Indeed, the USA Patriot Act has stretched these boundaries into an almost indiscernable framework. Long time economist and metals expert, Gary North, ( http://www.garynorth.com) recommends taking direct bailment of any gold or silver you may hold, either in EGold, Ebullion, or even GoldMoney) Perhaps a bulletproof alternative will emerge. So far, nothing appears to be viable. (Gee, maybe our friends in Vanuatu can help us out with their DX dollars) Good luck to us all. ![]() |

We aim to help where we can onyx.
Yikes!!!! $99.50 for a CRYPTO Card. That is steep! There’s an opportunity here for some entrepreneur to set up a payment processor off shore to the USA, UK, EU, Australia etc or better still in Switzerland. No one messes with the gnomes of Zurich where money is concerned not even the yanks. Swiss Cash would be a good name and if they had their own Debit Card it would be perfect. |

I'd encourage people to take a look at other options as well. E-bullion is very expensive to run if you don't have lots of transactions and lots of currency or gold. I opted not to buy the crypto card, its way too expensive, and the login is pretty secure.

I wrote to E-Bullion with a couple of queries. They were:
About the monthly fee of approximately $5. What happens if an account has less than $5 in it at month end? Will whatever is in the account be taken as the monthly fee and that is that? Or will any outstanding balance be taken from the account once some more money is added to it? In other words and assuming that the month’s fee is to be $5 - if an account only has $1.35 in it on the last day of a month will that be taken as that month’s fee? Or will a further $3.65 be taken out of the account when at least that amount is credited to the account during the next month? The reply: Dear E-bullion Account Holder, (Not a good start. I don’t have an account with E-Bullion) Thank you for writing. Per the TOU, and AHA, e-bullion does charge a monthly service fee on all e-bullion accounts with a balance. There is no exact date as to when the fee is deducted. (To prevent people emptying their account the day before the fees are due?) The monthly service fee is based on 1/3 of a gram of gold (0.010706). On March 30, 2007 e-Bullion deducted $7.11 from all e-Bullion accounts that had a balance for the service fee for the month of April. (So its charged in advance!) If your account is not funded at the time that the service fee is due, you will not be charged the monthly fee, nor will your account reflect a negative balance. I'm liking E-Bullion less and less. |

Secure login at Ebullion ! yeah right buddy!
I had $5600 USD of Ebullion swiped by hackers last Oct. Don't think that their security is any better than at egolds. You MUST get the encrypto card ! If a trojan is placed in your computer you'll be screwed in short order out of your Ebullion just as fast as egold. PS. I also got my Egold swiped as well at teh same time for many thousands as well! Ebullion I think is Panamanian based is it not. Don't think the powers that be are going to like these guys any more than Egold. Unregulated banking is in hot water wherever they are! |

I’ve just spotted that E-Bullion have Debit Card for all account holders. That’s a good plus.
The down side is that there does not appear to be a way of funding an E-Bullion account with E-Gold. |

Does anyone know of a reliable & cheap e-bullion exchanger in the USA to take the place of The Bullion Exchange?
I just heard that you can fund your e-bullion account by direct deposit from your own bank. Is this true? Thanks Jbone Last edited by jbone : 06-05-2007 at 02:48 AM. |
